Willow has been taking dance for the last couple months. She loves it. She practically lives in her “allay” shoes and a tutu. She can’t resist grooving to the music and loves to shake her booty!

Mercedez has been so excited for Halloween this year. She decided a while ago that she was going to be a sumo wrestler. She saved her money and bought her own costume. She couldn’t wait to get back to the house to try it on. Here’s a sneak peak:
Grandma got us pumpkins a week and a half ago and since then the girls have been dying to carve them. The long awaited night finally came Monday and we got our game faces on. Hunter browsed lots of templates on the internet until she found one suitable to her taste. Mercedez decided to free-hand it. While they scooped and carved, I sorted out the seeds. By the time they were finished carving, I had them boiled and seasoned and ready to bake. What a fun night!
I can’t believe it’s already October!! My baby is turning 3 and I have 1st, 3rd, and 4th graders! When did this happen?!
In celebration of fall break, we road tripped to California. I decided to leave Willow with a friend. I missed her terribly, but I think it was a good call. She never likes to drive. So I dropped off one and picked up two. Hannah and Laura came with us. The drive there was uneventful. We checked into our hotel around 6 and then swam for a while. The resort was really nice and the girls where in heaven.
Tuesday we spent the day at Disney’s CA Adventure. We got there around 9:30 and promptly went to Soarin’ over California. Next we did the Grizzly Rapids. Everyone but Hunter got soaked. How she managed to stay dry is a mystery. Mercedez was dying to go to the Tower of Terror. Admittedly, it turned out to be my favorite ride. We rode a few rides in A Bug’s Land, then headed toward the ferris wheel and the Screamin’ California roller coaster. We also watched the Aladdin show, and all the girls loved it. Our average wait time was 10-20 minutes, and the weather was beautiful, making it for a wonderful day for visiting the park. Although Willow would have loved some of the smaller rides, it was good that we left her. I don’t think that she would have held up as well as the other girls. By the time we shuttled back to our hotel, we were all beat!
Wednesday we hit the Huntington Beach for a couple hours, then drove home. The girls were, as usual, loud and crazy but I think everyone had fun. Willow was happy to see us when we got back.
The girls are spending the rest of the weekend with their dad. My house is trashed, but quiet! Guess I’ll go take advantage of the solace and find the floor again…

I can’t believe I have a 10 year old!! When did this happen?!
We celebrated with lemon sorbet ice cream and a raspberry vanilla cake, which were both delish! All she wanted for her birthday was an iTouch, so that’s all she got. She couldn’t have been happier!
